2025 sheep raffles

Agreed, great raffle and decent odds. Wish it was for a different year - already have a Dall hunt for that summer. Don’t think I’d be able to get permission to sheep hunt for three weeks in one season haha
HAHA, I alos bought a ticket for the Idaho WSF Yukon Safari. I'm not sure how I would get away with that trip, even if I won it.

Last call for idahos dall and stone sheep raffle. Sales end Thursday and we draw Saturday night! IMG_1228.jpegIMG_1227.jpeg

So for years now I have purchased a decent amount of raffle tickets from various wild sheep conservation groups under the guise of doing my part for sheep conversation to justify the expense and selfishly hoping one day to win a hunt. That along with the fact when crunching the numbers your odds are often way better than those in the lower 48 for the very few nonresident tags and the cost is very similar when you must purchase a hunting license to be able to get in the draws each year. Fast forward to last Saturday night when I got a call from my buddy Colton in Utah who was attending the Utah WSF banquet informing me that my name was drawn for the Desert Bighorn Sheep Hunt Raffle in Sonora, Mexico!!! Now I still didn't totally believe him as I am always the donor and not the lucky one but perhaps the tide has turned. I had a great conversation with Travis from the Utah WSF on Sunday about the raffle and just about the chapter and what they have been doing and encourage others to join and donate. Anyhow, I will be heading to Mexico this December for the hunt and couldn't be more excited or thankful for the opportunity! Thank you Utah WSF keep up your great work, I am planning on flying out and attending your banquet next year!

Congratulations! It'll be a great experience as I hunted Sonora in February for desert sheep that I won with Montana WSF. Fantastic experience with San Jose Trophy hunts.
