2025 NRL Hunter

Yes sir it is, I visit Tuscaloosa fairly often so it won’t be too bad. I’ll be quick to blame my poor performance on being in such close proximity to that place though ha!

I always thought you were a gold miner

I have a buddy getting hip replacement end of Feb. We are "scheduled" to shoot NRL in Arbuckle CA beginning of April. Been trying to find out if it is allowed to have some type of vehicle to go from station to station for him. He'll be more than good to move for short distances at the station, but the long walking may be a bit much. Anyone have any insight on that?

You have to check with the match director, but typically, due to the terrain, that wouldn't work.

How do you get ahold of anyone over there at NRL if you have questions? I’ve sent a couple emails but get no response.

MDT Canada match is opened up for registration for members. I heard this one sold out quick last year. I'm going to give this one a try this year.

If anyone is looking for a Skills Division spot at the MDT Hunter in Arbuckle CA, let me know. I’m trying to get rid of mine since my buddy can’t make it now.

I might have a guy, let me check if he already purchased a spot

Just come and shoot. You won't regret it.

One of the best parts of NRL Hunter is the welcoming and friendly crowd compared to other shooting sports I've attended.

Me and a buddy from work registered for Skills division at the Cactus Classic on the March 28th weekend. Never been to a match before; really looking forward to it. I’m a pretty decent shot when I’m in my element (my range, my setup, no timer running), but having to glass up the targets and build up a position under, then squeeze shots off under the time pressure is going kick my butt. I’ll probably be shooting my 7PRC, which, as stated before, I’m good with in my element; but I won’t be able to see impacts as I would with a lower recoiling rifle. I have a 6.5 Creed, but I’d need to swap a scope on it and work up a load; don’t know if I’ll have time for that. Will be great practice either way.

If I were in your shoes, I'd swap to the 6.5 and buy 2-300 rounds of this ammo: https://www.milehighshooting.com/berger-ammunition-6-5-mm-creedmoor-156gr-eol-elite-hunter-20-box/
Get solid chrono data and a 10+ round zero, and you're ready to rock. Seeing your impacts is going to help you learn way more.
