2025 elk meat pole

Opening day in MT for my wife's first bull. She ran a masterclass on mental toughness after a nearly 21 mile, 2 round trip circuit between her bull and camp. Turns out you can kill elk in horse country, you just have to be stupid or crazy and have just enough grit.
Need to know more about the bike pack out. Some serious bike nerd action happening, love it!

Haha, no bike just a PackWheel. Pretty helpful little mechanism though, we were able to put the lite half of the bull on it with several camp items and just push our happy asses out. It was all single track and road with modest grade. That thing saved our butts from having to make another trip up the hill and I think I have become emotionally attached to it because of that.

Son drew 2nd season bull tag. Even though mama didn’t approve, we flew him in from college and we got it done. A few cows under his belt but first bull. And what a unit he was. First shot was awesome but he didn’t act phased. Second shot anchored him and it hugs and hi fives!

Congrats, my first bull was a unicorn. Seriously a spike still in velvet with an antler broke at the base. Wanted to save it but the dogs got to it.
