I wasn't even going to go this year. Woke up Wednesday morning and looked at the reissue list just for fun. Told the wife "I ought to try for that tag". She said "go for it".

Actually got it. But couldn't leave until Thursday evening. Drove all night, waited on Walmart to open at 6:00am so I could get my tag printed. Got to my hunting spot a little after 7:00. Bull down at 8:50am. Quartered and in game bags by 12:30pm. Packed out by 2:30pm. Told myself "I think I can make it back home". That was a little ambitious. Had to stop twice for a 1 hour power nap. Pulled in the driveway at 4:30am.

Best bull to date. May never top this guy. Thirds for days are what got me excited about him.

Hell yeah ! Gorgeous bull ! Guessing 370+ …? Narrow in the back but those unreal fronts and thirds more than make up for it !

Got a cow 17 Oct. Opening day of first rifle was great with several bulls bugling around us. Then snow and high winds Wednesday night on. Shot her right at sunset, tag was too expensive to not use and I was the only one in my group to tag out.
