My first spot and stalk bear! Going to rug him and it’s going to make my first bear rug look like a cub haha.

We took my buddies 11 year old son in on his first backpacking hunt. 5 bears in 36 hours and he got to watch his dad roll one out of the berry fields.

Coaxed this sow out of the trees with a fawn bleat call last night. Oregon coast range. I heard the unmistakable sound of a bear messing around and the wind was good. Shot from 70 yards, they dropped where they stood. Always the best feeling.

Edit: the front teeth in between the canines are worn down to nothing, excited to find out how old she was. My bear last year was aged at 13, I'm guessing this one must be older since last year's bears tooth wear wasn't nearly as extreme
