2025/2026 Trapping season.

We just started trapping this year. We got 8 raccoons. This is our 1st coyote. I was so excited, it reminded me of my 1st deer. I was on an amazing high for about an hour. Unbelievable.
Congratulations! You're going to be hooked for life now.

Wonder if they could change your WKR to Possum King?
Dude there's at least 2 more big ones.

I saw one in thermal the other night and there's a big one working that same area as the one I caught today that won't hit a trap. I put king crab and a box trap right there too.

Been chousing coyotes for over 50 years, whether shooting, snaring or trapping them. This was only the second coyote I've ever had, that was stupid enuff to enter a live/cage trap. The first was a pup in a bobcat cage over 30 years ago. I could understand that one, being young, dumb and hungry with over 4 feet of snow on the ground and the living was hard... This one was an old, skinny female not in the best of health, that entered a cage trap I leave set in an old concrete culvert section down at the cowshed. It's mainly for coons that get in the haystack to den and crap in, and ruin my feed. I use the big one there, as a couple years ago some putz dumped a bunch of pitbulls and I had to clean them outta the ranch.
