The reticle looks IDEAL for me, floating center dot, illuminated dot instead of entire reticle. Holdovers at max magnification, and extremely light. Would love some real world opinions on this optic.
Can buy for 900 right now so need to decide if I want to go that route or not.
Goin on a lightweight 7mm BC mountain rifle

I love mine, I know the vortex stuff. but about 5 yearss ago when I built a rifle it's whatI I had money for, well 5 years later I have never once adjusted it, literally not once. It's been across the country a few times and dropped in the snow behind hounds and a snowmobile."

I am NOT saying it's the best , I have Trijicon and NF that are "better" by all accounts, however I have really enjoyed it on the gun it's on.

I know the general opinion is that if you use a Vortex, you are showing your ignorance and must not hunt or shoot much, but I do both a fair amount. That said, I have 3 LHTs that I have had for a number of years, one of them used extensively on my coyote gun without an issue. So far. The other 2 were on my other hunting rifles until I got paranoid about them failing and replaced them with drop-tested approved scopes. But they were still holding up fine, and for a sfp scope were one of my favorites. Who knows. Probably not the best choice with their reputation and more durable scopes costing around the same.

I've got the previous version vortex razor hd-lh 2-12. 100% failure rate. 4 out of 4. But im one who loves the reticle, glass and weight.
87.5% failure across 7/8 vortexs. The brand just hates me.

A hunting scope i can't trust does me no good. A bunch of friends run them(don't know the models) with success.

I have one, had it for about 3-4 years. Its on a Tikka 6.5Cm that's a trainer for me. Probably shot about a 1000 rounds through it. I like the feature set, weight glass is ok, so far its held zero fine ( I typically shoot three shots at a 100 before starting my shooting session and its been automatic so far)

I want to trust it, but largely because of the internet vortex reputation I just don't have the confidence to take it on a out of state hunt. If I could redo the purchase today i would spend slightly more and get a 3-15x42 Creedo HX
