2025/2026 Trapping season.

A bobcat had been checking out this junk pile so I made an exposed walk through on the other side of that log and put some bait in that pipe. I thought I had my trap anchored off good enough to the pipe that nothing could get back underneath the junk pile. I was wrong. When I started digging the pile apart I was really hoping I wasn’t going to find a skunk or a lion as I’ve caught one about 100 yards from this spot before. Was interesting fishing that fox out of there. Used my catch pole to get around the trap to pull him out and deal with him

I always wanted to try trapping and I asked my kids if they wanted to do it with me. They said yes. I guess I needed a little push ( a paper in a wind storm type). We have 9 DP sets now. This was our 1st time setting 5 for 9. We’re hooked now. We’ll be setting the Duke #2 for coyote/fox this weekend.
