Won't be long. Arkansas on private land. We can trap or hunt. Coyotes, bobcats , gray or red fox , coons, opossums and skunks yr around 24/7. To help the deer turkeys and small game. I am waiting for a while. Make sure fur isn't blue. Plus otter season dont open until November 15th. But I will hit the Coyotes next month. I start off on a 5000-acre hunting club.

Season will be here soon. Can't wait! Just waiting until it frost here in Arkansas. Seed tick would be bad right now.

I’m in NE Kansas and I hope it gets cold by mid November. I chase dogs and cats. My buddy traps beaver and I’ll help him out some. He caught three otters last year in his beaver sets. The otter population is rebounding here and he was super bummed all three times he found them in his sets. Our local biologist was floored that he caught three.

Live traps for beaver? what does your typical sets look like, and do you have any more refusals vs a 330?
I’m in Colorado and all real traps are illegal. Cage traps only. ☹️
But we still get it done.
I set mostly on dams, where I’ll make a caster mound in the back with lure. Usually only takes a night or two to catch one, they go in cages real easy.

The trap in the picture I moved off the dam to dispatch and remove the beaver because of the high water. This was not where it was set when I caught him.

Can’t you just shoot the beavers in Colorado?

Relocated back to western ND this summer and it’s an understatement to say I’m fired up to hang a mile of cable this winter! I’m too cheap to buy a NR permit to trap this fall, so I’ve been scouting some great stuff for snaring coyotes/bobcats when I get residency in January. Best of luck to all this season! I’ve missed trapping/snaring so dang much!

I am waiting on the first frost. Then I will get after the coyotes. Here bobcats gray and red fox coyotes coons opossums skunks. Can be hunted or trapped yr around. On private land. U can hunt them at night too. To help turkey deer and small game out.

Set out marten boxes again this year while at elk camp, managed to catch exactly as many as I did last year in this area during elk season, 0.
But, it's a good time
