I'm pondering my 2024 hunt. I have a few Elk, 1 Moose, Aoudad, few Deer, 1 Antelope. I even have my on range Oryx filled.

What is 1 to do for 2024 ???

Thinking of a Texas free range exotic. I know they have Simitar Oryx & Black Buck running around which are low fenced.
Not interested in Hog meat.

Any suggestions ? I need to change it up a little bit. Can't keep going back for the same species..

Dall’s sheep are pretty neat, stones would be an upgrade 😀

As to free range Texas exotics Axis/Chital deer are popular

I do see Axis deer advertised all over. I noticed the normal in Texas is feeders everywhere, even on free-range hunts. Where as in NY, can't use feeders.

Also, someone mentioned Axis. These were both taken in my front lawn. And the picture of the does are LITERALLY right now walking around my inner fence. (Central TX). I think Nilgai meat > Axis meat > everything else. Axis are prettier though. Nilgai is practically a cow. Haha

Also, a lot of Axis around here in central TX don't come into the feeders as regularly as white tail (yes they will, but a lot of people I know hunt them safari style).. that being said, Axis can't resist alfalfa

Are those free ranging Nilgai ?
Yes. All low fence. We hunted about 5 different properties when we were down there. One of which was ON the Rio Grande border. Watched illegals with backpacks in our thermals. Wild stuff.

I don’t know your budget, but if you’re looking to change it up. You can’t go wrong with an Alaska mountain goat hunt. It’s challenging and the scenery in unforgettable. You won’t regret
