Beat this photographic skill! Ollin scope deal wont let flash do off. Colo 3rd OTC raghorn. Arrived at my truck topper campsite at 3am so missed first light. No matter. 6 hour hunt. Last light cross canyon shot. Full-debone on a 30 degree slope tied to tied to tree to work animal. Uphill pack out of trim meat. Somehow went in circles and got semi-lost, but got back to quad at 2am. Down-hill pack of remainder in morn. Two quarters on back, two quarters in double-lined contractor trash bags pulled behind (my sled). One load to truck and done.

4 Years in a row archery cow elk in utah. Glassed and patterned a herd for two days going from feeding to bedding and ambushed appropriately. I love elk meat but I'm ready for my first bull in 2025. Never knew of this thread I'll be posting every year I get one. Good luck everyone in 2025!

Super late to the party, and I don't usually share or advertise my hunts anymore. My third bull to score 333 and probably the last bull I'll kill with my dad's Mathews he bought the year before passing in 2016. 40 yard perfectly broadside shot on a relaxed bull among his mid day bedded cows, and he still jumped the string!! (reason for getting a new bow) I hit him higher than I would have liked, so I gave him 3 hours to be safe. (ALWAYS better to give them more time than jump them out of a bed) Turns out he only made it about 100 yards and died running.
I feel like hunting for me anymore is an avenue to talk about Jesus with people I'd never get the chance to talk to otherwise. So as long as I'm successful, or not for that matter, I pray my successes and failures all point people past me to Jesus.
