It's a no-go in CO where scopes that communicate with external devices are illegal. But take out the battery , delete the app from your phone, and dial manually technically, but maybe not legally resolves the issues. The scope doesn't visibly look any different than any other dial scope, and removing the battery requires taking the scope of the rifle, so it might depend on the knowledge and attitude of the officer you meet. I guess that legally a scope without battery might be considered equivalent to carrying an unloaded handgun in a no handgun state- a violation either way.

One drawback is it’s a one revolution turret that maxes out at 34 MOA. I’m able to get 1074 yards with my 6.5 Creedmoor 140 ELDMs. That’s plenty considering the gun range I typically shoot at maxes out at 1K.

15x at 1K yards. It’s foggy and rainy here

Depends on the state. I was looking at Idaho and from everything I have found, it is not legal there. Hopefully others will chime in.

In California where most 2A stuff is illegal, any form of LRF or BC integrated into the scope is actually LEGAL. Go figure. No night vision or thermal though. I hate it when people post what is legal or illegal and do not back it up with facts in writing so here you go. ✌

how does this scope differ from the eliminator series?

It doesn’t have a built in range finder. You have to range your target. It’s for shooters that like to dial their turret. You upload your ballistics to the scope via the Burris app. Range target and when you dial, the HUD shows your distance. This eliminates the need to reference a DOPE chart or look at turret when dialing.

How do you dial with out the electronics?
Do the turrets have clicks? Or does it turn until the "yardage"is shown?
Thank you

Its a clickless MOA dial. I run it most of the time at range powered off. I simply dial DOPE just like a would any other scope with turret. HUD isnt needed.
