The boy really sent it on his first deer hunt in western Kansas, but it was not to be. But we had a blast.

We then got invited to some private land and he took his first deer after 3 practice shots with a crossbow!

He says he’s going to be a hunter, 100%.

Old buck, aged at 8.5, with a dislocated right front elbow, was still chasing the ladies.



The way he came out, with the lack of snow this year, it was a grunt getting him out...

I killed this one back in November. The hit was a little low. Tracked for about 150 yards and ended up bumping him out of his bed. We backed out and came back the next morning to find laying not 50 yards from where we bumped him.
