First Sitka blacktail
Appreciate it! The rain and low ceiling made for some crappy goat hunting but led to favorable stalking conditions down low. They don’t come easy with an arrow. Good work bud!
That’s a stud! A big Sitka buck is at the top of my bucket list. Congrats!
Life doesn’t get any better than black tails above tree line.

Slowly coming back in a few areasWell done Sir!
How is the pig population been out there?
I’m so jealous. Congrats on a great Sitka buck!
Wow! That’s a stud of a forky! Congrats!
Nice fork! Where I hunt the vast majority of the bucks were out of velvet by the second week of the season, which I thought was unusual. The last 3 years I recall seeing velvet bucks until at least late August. Wonder if it has something to do with the weather?surprised to see so many hard horned bucks. heres my public land b zone buck from the archery opener. my first backpacking buck. definitely appreciate the work that goes into backcountry hunting more now.
Beautiful buck. Will be dreaming of deer like that until next yearMy first blacktail, Kodiak Island
