He's a great looking dog. I had a similar looking pointing lab some years back that I lost to an accident at a very young age.

Woke up Tuesday with full intentions of going deer hunting. Griffey would not let me leave the house without him! I couldn't turn down those big brown puppy eyes staring at me while I made my coffee so off to the sage we went. Ended up with 2 roosters and a bonus rabbit.

He's a great looking dog. I had a similar looking pointing lab some years back that I lost to an accident at a very young age.

So, here's the story on him. We'd recently lost our last dog (white lab) and we were discussing getting another lab or a GSP. I told the wife if we were going to get another lab, I want a fox red as I've already had black, yellow, and white. She was looking at some breeders and found one that was highly recommended and had 2 litters coming up, but they were 6 hours from us. I got on Rokslide and searched "fox red lab breeder" or something similar. The first result that came up was the breeder my wife was looking at - seemed it was meant to be and we put the deposit down that night. He's from Torg's Labs near Bemidji.

Mine will be 10 in a couple of months. The hip and joint supplements are keeping him going but he still wears out after about a 1/2 day.
