Not exactly a trophy shot (I put a pic with her deer in the Rokslide youth photo contest), but the sheer joy of my daughter after taking her first deer at 10 years old was something I hope I never forget (this is a still from the shot video). Great shot, 137 yards standing off a bi-pod, perfect ending to a great hunt for her. Of note, I was picking up the gun, she was so excited she just dropped it LOL.VideoCapture_20221010-175402.jpg

There's some great bucks on this thread, but this is my favorite pic. Really captures the feeling. Thanks for sharing.

First buck, first animal with a bow. Had a shot window the size of a dinner plate at 42 yards and sent it. Clean pass through and dropped him within 80 yards.

My daughter's first buck at 340 yards. She wanted to use her grandpa's old 30-06 but dad's 6.5PRC was set up for longer range. My son-in-law is up next but I doubt we'll find a nicer buck for our tags remaining.

Had a great tag in Nevada this year. Unfortunately I only got to hunt for 24 hours! This buck snuck in behind me while I was glassing—so close I heard him piss! 25 yard running neck shot and it was all over. No time to judge him but thankfully he had ground growage. 42” of mass and rough scores 188”

Hot weather and a bright moon, had to go in the dark timber to find em. Very happy with this DIY OTC buck. The worst part of tagging out on day 3 is packing out 9 more days worth of rations!

My brother came out from E. Oregon and we doubled on opening morning! The goal was to get him a buck in our 6 day season first and foremost. So he took his deer at first light on the opener - a solid 24” 4 point - and then I hopped on the gun to try and double out of the same herd. Just happened that my target buck stepped into the crosshairs and we had two good ones down an hour after shooting light. What a special morning!

Not quite the week we expecting with highs in the 70s and full moon overnight. Passed up 3 bucks on opening day, which I was regretting by the end of the week. Put in the effort and miles for sure, but I go lucky on the last day.
