Here is my 2022 Utah general archery bull from Monday night. I sat a treestand over a waterhole that my brother has been scouting for his OIL shiras moose tag. I had several cow/calf moose come in and then this bull wandered in at around 6:30pm. Made a great shot and he only went 30 yards and piled up (G5 Montec CS 100 grain fixed blade head)
Pack out sucked bad but my Brother bailed me out and helped me get it done-it was all worth it for sure and I am already missing the elk woods!

Filled my early bull tag on a solo trip, extremely tough hunt with the lack of critters and the desert heat. I got lucky on my biggest bull yet. Can’t wait to get it back from the taxidermist.
Very nice.

Were you sitting that water tank? (If that's what I see)

What's your taxidermy plan?

The sage was really tall, I didn’t see the water until I down to the bottom. I just spotted them as they were moving through the bottom of the draw. It was a lucky hunt, the group he was in were the only elk I found scouting before the season. I am getting a euro done with the velvet.

Dude that is some PERSISTENCE!!

“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan 'Press On!' has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.”

Nice bull. Takes a lot of patients to sit all night in a stand. Congratulations.
