I’d like to see a picture of the Briksdal Pro’s, however it seems like they should have gone in another direction with them if they were purpose built for Sheep/Goats. The Briksdal SF’s are already on the verge of being too soft for true mountain hunting. Going the other way in stiffness (From a 5 to a 4) with the Pro’s is a mistake imo. Despite the marketing, the SF’s are nowhere near as stiff as a true lightweight mountaineering boot. They’re great for moderate mountain hunting, but I wouldn’t dream of taking them on a winter goat hunt.

Updated Colorado, Summit and Lapponia.

New Briksdal Pro and Altitude.

Any pictures of the new Lapponias? I really wanted to like my originals and they were super comfy. I abused them, but after one season they soles were slick and stitching had come undone.
I didn't hear it in there, but hoping they updated the sole. Did they by chance? Cause the originals were garbage. If they had better soles, id buy another pair. Definitely one of the most comfortable boots I've used. Just not as durable as I had hoped for an all leather boot. But that's what you get when you save weight and make it light, sacrifice durability.
Got any pics or more info?
Thanks

I own the colorados and briksdall SF. Colorado gets me through to late September then I transfer up to SF.

I wouldn’t soften the sf at all, and if I were going winter goat hunting in BC I think I’d look into something plastic anyways. Thankfully I haven’t been that crazy as of yet.

Not sure what the change will be on colorados, but they’re a fantastic sheep or general mountain boot for early season.
I might buy a discounted pair!

I’m pretty excited about the new summit, I think they did enough to that boot that it solves the problems I had with it… I’m hoping they will hold up a little longer (the synthetic panels)

If they stay dry a little longer, I will always have a set of them… my favorite boot

The everything has thorns concept around here is hard on goretex where the synthetic panels are, with the tougher synthetic and slightly different layout, looks about perfect for me
