New Year, New Thread! Let's see em!!

Montana bitteroots black bear! was around 6' tall. shot him with a 6.5 creedmoor at 150 yards. spot and stalk.

Was reading in my tent and heard my duffel bag sliding across the ground.

This guy was hiding behind a spruce with my bag, end of opening day.

It didn't run from the usual hazing, it started posturing, so it got 10mm.

I did! Same here in CA, plenty of bears out there. Most are taken like yours, guys deer hunting and get an opportunity on a big boi!

Thanks! Yeah, really nice to get a browny colored one. All my others are pure black.

Me and my bear in the frigid weather right before dark.
Best get to skinning is what I was thinking. Kodiak is mean at nightfall. Wind was howling cold and snow was moving in.

3 bears in 22, my idaho springer was my biggest yet, by a hair. One of my wa bears was my oldest yet by 3 years, aged at 25yo. Skull pic is the 25yo sow. Black boar is my idaho springer. Other bear was a 13yo sow i called in, avg size, maybe 130 or 140lb, cool mohawk on her. Actually had her lifesized cause she was the perfect size for a form i liked, and the mohawk was the icing on the cake.0
