Here is mine. My first bow bear. We have a lot of bears around our property in WV. We also butt up against a WMA, so we have a lot of ground to choose from. Was able to get this guy as he was lumbering toward a big ol' persimmon that was dropping. Was hoping for a big buck, but he was just as good. Right as I shot, he stepped away from me, so the arrow entered through the front of his ham, but it punched all the way to the heart.

Sorry for the bad pic, but it was late by the time I got him out of the woods. I was by myself and as you all know, trying to move one of these is like trying to pick up a garbage bag full of jello. Just for reference, I am 6'2" and 260.

He weighed 320 lbs and the skull taped out at 18-7/8".IMG-2822.jpgIMG-2831.jpg

Recently moved to Kentucky from the west coast. A new friend invited me to come on an archery black bear hunt by back in October (3-day season). The hunt was on public land, no bait. I only started archery hunting last year but it sounded like a blast. This pretty sow was my first archery kill. She snuck up behind me while I was sitting in a makeshift ground blind near a pond. She was coming straight at me I got a shot off when she was less than 20 yards away. I took a sidestep into some leaves to make some noise and she turned to see where the noise came from. What a rush. Especially because I didn't have a sidearm. I'm definitely doing more of these.

This past year was my first attempt at bears in Nys. I was successful on my first hunt and pretty much shot the first bear I saw. Looking forward to this coming season already.

I am not very good at judging bears but this seems like a really good one to me. Maybe some of the guys on here could give a rough estimate of the size of this trail camera photo.

My wife’s DIY brown from this year. She passed over 20 for the last 3 years to choose this one. He should make a beautiful rug. She got him on the last day before pulling out due to weather/ocean conditions .

Color phase fall bear out of Washington. 9+ mile pack out was the most physically challenged I’ve ever been (for context I ran an Ultra 2 weeks prior to this hunt). After blowing a stalk that morning this one was a gimme! I believe I taped the skull at 17 inches
Small world, I just watched the PNWild video last night
