Beautiful buck. Looking forward to my first deer hunt on a boat based DIY hunt on the South end of the island next year. Start hunting oct 31 thru nov 7. Trying to get in shape to climb the hills. Hoping for some decent weather and healthy deer numbers.

I hunted the south end on a boat based hunt a few years ago. On a "adventure/dollar" basis, I don't think it gets any better than that hunt. I had an awesome time and am planning on going back in the next few years.

Southern Oregon blacktail, morning after a good storm. Best part was having my 9-year-old son there for the experience.

Makes me miss Blacktail hunting in the Cascades. That is the buck of a lifetime! So cool.

i guess you can retire from the blacktail woods! that buck is flat out awesome! ancient buck it looks like, and man does he carry that mass all the way through, congrats! they don't make blacktail much cooler than that, especially down there
