2020 Pack goat elk hunt

This was my 8th year I believe packing with my pack goats. I spent 13 nights in a tent packing with the goats this past season! Packed in 10 miles on the first portion of the hunt. Here are a few pics from my season.

Depends on there size and if there “in Shape”. My goats will do 60-70 lbs each. Most are in that 50lb range.
Also depends on terrain, super steep nasty stuff I’ll load them lighter.

What kind of goats do you have? Until recently we had 2 nubians, they are cool animals and fun to be around! I wanted to get them packs but they are a bit of an investment so I never did. Looks like an awesome trip.

Yes I was solo. They roll right with me, they were 15-20 yards from that bull, I was 34.

I raise them myself. Ober/Alpines and a Saanen/Boer on this particular trip.
