19 F150 lariat. 41K miles. Been running full synthetic since I bought it with 13K miles. Consumes around 1 quart at 5000-6000 mile interval oil change schedule.
As I type this, my 2014 Ford F150 (5.0 V8) with 163,000 miles on it sits in the shop waiting for another engine to be installed. They replaced all piston rings back in February (took 3 months) and starting in September it started using a lot of oil to the tune of 2 1/2 quarts every 5000 mile oil change. To the shop's credit (not a dealership), they have agreed to put a used engine in it for me at no charge. My plan was to immediately take it and trade for a new F150 V8 but after reading this thread, I am having serious doubts. I am a little scared of the ecoboost six cylinder due to the fact of how expensive the turbos are if they have to be replaced. May start looking for a Chevrolet for the first time in many years.
