2020 Desert Sheep

It has been a while since I visited RoKslide. I thought I would bump up my post count.

My Arizona 37a desert sheep. Scored 176 gross, 175 2/8 net. Aged at 12 years old. Drew the second hunt in the random draw with 19 points

That is a great ram! Super lucky on the draw.

I have 19 points and would love to draw. Is the terrain in that area conducive to bowhunting? Did you hire a guide?

And no, I did not hire a guide. This unit is only a hour from my home. I spent four months scouting. I looked at a lot of sheep and have thousands of trail cam pictures. I still am almost positive I never saw this sheep until that day my daughter glassed him up. Using some of Jay Scott's advice, we spent some time comparing him to the other ram that he was with and decided that he was a good ram.

The hunt was over on day one. My daughter was only going to be able to hunt for the first five days and it was dream come true that she was there to experience the hunt with my nephew, Anthony and me.
