Went out last night, 4 more down, should have had a few more, but had some malfunctions.

But won smallest dog and most dogs in a little wager

Will be heading out again friday night, buddy got acall from a landowner saying he is having issues with coyotes and his domestic dogs as well as cattle. Hope to knock a few down and maybe have another wager to win this weekend.

The coyote in the first photo was called in at night, right at the waterline on the beach. The others are from the nearby area as well. We don't have quite as many coyotes running around up here, but boy is it a fun way to beat the cabin fever...

Wrecked an old female yesterday with my 300 Norma, let's just say it worked !

Went out last night, we got 3 missed 2 and only seen a few more, mostly 1000 yards or more.

Called in 2 males 1 was way out around 900 yards and the other came in charging from 600 or so yards. Took home a little side wager also.

How far was the shot in the video? What the furthest you have identified a coyote? I know they say 2000 yd detection range just curious what the actual detection and identification range is on a coyote.

The coyote that was getting picked up was about 250 yard shot, view in the pick up of it was 175 ish.

I have easily seen them 880 yards or more in open country and knew exactly what they were by the way they walked or moused or didn't stand still long. I have shot 475 and knew what it was easily at that distance. All depends of dog experience, atmosphere(fog or humidity) and scope

I went out with a buddy a couple weeks ago and had a fun day. We called in 6. We let the dogs work the first pair and didn't shoot. Eventually the coyotes wouldn't come back anymore. We had heard another pair howl on that stand so we moved after them. They howled again on the second stand but they were on the opposite side of the a big rocky canyon. We moved on them again and called them in. The dogs worked great on that pair and we ended up getting them both killed. The next stand we had 3 or 4 howling. We called in 2 in some pretty nasty brush. My buddy got a shot and missed. It was a fun day. I wish they would decoy like this through the winter when it doesn't get so dang hot.

Edit-Just noticed it's a 2020 kill count, I killed a handful of these in December of 19. 2020 count is 8 I belive.
I've killed several at night with a wicked hunting light off a dead cow. Kimber pro hunter 22-250 with a leupold VX5 3-15x44 shooting a 40 gr Berger varmint bullet at around 4000 fps. Coyotes are worth a pile of money this year!

How do you like the 108’s? I’m shooting the same caliber and haven’t tried those out yet.
