I just counted 20 that haven't gotten to the 5 shots yet. One of those appeared to be the wife of a staff member, so don't know if that counts or not.

Post the names so everyone else can shame them into finishing up :ROFLMAO: !!!

Just kidding. This is going way faster than last years, and right now I don't have the ability to worry about anything beyond the NM draw anyways.

Once the NM draw comes out, THEN I'll start worrying about the CBC :D

I'd rather let them drop off and let a few more alternates in. I kinda think next year you need to do 5 shots in 5 or 6 days. Maybe I'm unreasonable.

@robby denning is there any way for us to keep track of how many are left to finish shooting?
good question but not really, it's too hard on my mods. Hold tight, they're prepping to reach out to those who haven't finished to hurry up. Seems most that haven't finished have only shot one arrow. We'll deal with those guys.

I'm not gonna start shooting the CBC...yet, but it is super cool to see what you guys are doing here. Ill tell ya, this forum is way better then some others out there. So much freakn content! I like AT but Rok is pretty damn bad azz.
thanks and welcome to Rokslide. Watch for the 2021 CBC to be announced early spring next year and be there or miss out!

I can see putting some sort of a limit on how long from the start but due to weather and other uncontrollable circumstances I could see something like 15 days from the first arrow to the last arrow or something like that. Gives a person a little time to draw feel themselves getting blown off then let down and pass on the day without feeling like they have to flop on a shot

I get that, but look at Bill. He is shooting in a foot of snow and so are several others. One guy was about in a blizzard. I think that's kinda the theme of the contest. I mean in perfect conditions and no pack I could probably do something like an 8" circle past 100 yards, but this contest is supposed to try to get you to mimick hunting conditions. Wind, rain, and snow. Unless you don't hunt in that stuff, which admittedly I'm not near as hardcore as I used to be.

7 days for 5 arrows.

Dont forget about the guys that have to work for multiple days in a row. Like firefighters or military.

Fair point. I can agree with that. While I'm not nearly that hardcore or as good of a shot I do agree with work with what you have being as it is supposed to put you into a hunting scenario I just worry about some people being scared away from it because they aren't quite ready to take a shot in big sidewind or blizzard situations.

I had no idea most guys were finished I just saw 6 weeks and thought I had plenty of time and didn’t check back in on this thread. I have 2 shots left, definitely not shooting today it’s blowing 30-40 here now. I’ll get on it and try to finish in the next couple days

12 hours on a cardiopulmonary floor doesn't leave a lot of time either.

Just be patient. Everyone has a story and right now a lot of people are dealing with a pile of nonsense.

I'm just glad I can shoot again. New bow and rest are pretty nice. Quiver and sight on the way.

Your right about that, but most get a string of days off. Do a public service exemption.

Things were definitely different this year. Before it ran for 6 weeks and didn't have but 75 guys or so.

Hope nobody thinks my comment is in trying to get this over. To me it's the essence of the challenge. I understand not shooting 45 yards in a stiff wind, but question yourself, if you honestly would pass that shot with a b&c or even Pope and Young animal in front of you then pass the shot. However I know few people who would pass an animal that is within there "range". But most of those guys haven't challenged themselves to shoot in real world conditions at their "range".

That's the point of this challenge. If you chose a MER that didn't humble you, either you are extremely realistic about your hunting ranges (and I commend you for that as most aren't) or you didn't challenge yourself enough. In my opinion.

I do agree with you and wasn't thinking you wanted to get it over with I was looking more to start a friendly debate like we have going.

Hopefully we are all taking this as an opportunity to challenge our limits, I know I am. The better I am going into next Fall the better chance I have of making things happen when the opportunity presents itself. Shot a couple arrows in a windstorm last night. Good times.
