My idaho buck. He's my first out of state and backcountry harvest. I was after bigger buck, but I was having trouble locating him so I decided to take this buck. I'm happy with him

We had some tough hot weather in Colorado. These weren't the bucks we were hoping for but it was a fun hunt. We had a pretty big buck found the day before the hunt but never could turn him up again.

Got my first mulie on 11/12/16 at noon, taking a nap on a hillside with my boots off in 65 degree weather. Was the ruttiest deer I have ever seen, back legs/tarsals were crusted with urine. We chose that spot to nap after making the all night drive from MN to MT so we could overlook a grassy valley leading to where we thought some does were bedded. I just happened to wake up at 11:58 and shot him trotting up the valley at 220 yds at 12:06 while by buddy slept 10' from me. Was a cool hunt. Lots of rutting all week and with the moon, bucks were active at noon actively moving while the does were bedded down in the heat.

He sure has been tasty so far too.

That's a dandy buck! I like the rifle. Tell us a little about it.

Thanks! It's a custom built 280 AI. Stiller Predator action, 24" #4 1:9 Lilja barrel, Jewel trigger, Manners EH-3 stock ADL configuration, American Precision micro bastard brake. It weighs in at 7# bare rifle. Topped with a NF NXS 3.5-15x50. The work was done by AD Arms. This is my second rifle done by Andy Delikat and both are flat out shooters. I'd recommend Andy to anyone looking for custom work.

Congrats again Halleywood- stud buck! One question about that rifle-- did American Precision name the brake after me? :)

Thanks Scoot! I believe you are right...When I ordered it I asked for the "Scoot" brake and they knew exactly what I was asking for! ;)
