10 or 11 of the rings are obvious to me.

These rings are pretty easy to see. The first ring from the tip (about 8" up) is the 3yo mark. He has 3 "double" annuli at years 7,8,9 y. The 12 and 13 ring are very close together, but the only visible rings in the picture.

Most broomed rams will broom at the 2 year mark +/-, but usually very close to the annuls. I have 7 of them in the house... they are all very, very similar in lenght of broom. This is for Dall sheep only though. Not sure how bighorns compare.
