Are those both Roosevelt's?

They are Rockies. Both from the Blue mountains in South Eastern Washington. I've been told that there were some Rosies planted in the Blues back in the fifties or somewhere around that time.

Justin gets home late Wednesday night/early Thursday morning, calls me at 8am Thursday and picks me up shortly after and we go up to help a buddy pack a bull out. We get close to where we think he is and we stop and listen for a whistle or something. Justin says "I think I smell elk". I turned to him and said "no, that's you man". We both had a good laugh. Whole Lotta elk in a few days! Nice work to you two!

How did the body size compare to other build you've hunted?

Yeah, packing out three bulls in four days was a lot! It's been a great year for all of us so far.

How did the body size compare to other build you've hunted?

The body sizes was pretty much the same as other big bulls we've packed out.

My buddy killed one just south of there in Oregon, that was the biggest bodied rocky mtn elk I've ever seen.

I always wondered if they had some Rosie in them...
