We finally made it to camp. Gabe is whooped. Haha
He's taking a nap now while I glass. The hike took us 6 1/2 hours to get in here. Our horseshoe was still here so it looks like I'll be kicking his ass again.
I seen the typical 4x4 on the hike in at his usual spot. He looks GREAT this year! He's pushing 28-29 wide and heavy. The only thing that's weak is his G2 on the left side, it doesn't have much length but I still think he'll be close to 185-190". Looking good so far!!
Can't wait to see if the 4x5 made it!
I'm not sure if I'll be able to post pics. Photobucket won't load. My library won't load either. Looks like just text for now. Data service isn't too good up here.
We just finished up filtering all our water. Should be good for a couple days
I'm soooo jealous ! I've got a broke down tractor to deal with in the morning and you are hunting in a backcountry deer hunters paradise ! Good hunting tomorrow and hope you can sleep tonight because I dang sure wouldn't be able to
Real windy this morning and haven't seen anything but young bucks. One 3 point has been bedded all morning. Hopefully the wind dies down and the big boys come out to play.
If we can't locate anything by 9:00 we're gonna move down the ridge line and try and glass down and locate the big 4
