2015 ELK Photo Contest

I waited nearly 4.5 hours for a shot, glad I didn't rush it.

My buddy Jeremy's bull. We cut this bull off in a mnt pass. Saddled mules on thanksgiving day in negative temps. Cowboyed the bull out with out any rodeos! Such a great hunt. Sounds like this is the last year the gardiner area will be open so we were happy to get one.

Took my 11 year son out with me and hunting buddy. I was able to put an arrow in this 5x5 at 38 yards. Great hunt and amazing to share the adventure with my son. He is hooked to say the least.
Once we had him in the cooler we made it out for a quick evening hunt and my buddy took a nice 5x5 at 12 yards. Amazing year in elk country. View attachment 31186

When I got home with the elk head, my 3 year old son ran as fast as he could to me and said, "You got me a big deer, dada!" He had to be apart of the photo op and was all smiles the whole time.
