Does anybody have some experience with this bow? Unfortunately the options for 65% letoff bows are very slim, but the Elite's have caught my eye. I will still hunt with my recurve, just miss my compound.

Ive been sleeping with mine I like it so much.

Ok, maybe not, but they are the most shootable bow on the market right now IMO. They are now, what Mathews was at its height (2004-2008).

The draw cycle is quite smooth (although maybe not as smooth as a single cam), the valley is HUGE, and they have a back wall unlike ANY bow ive ever shot (and I shoot just about all of em). You physically have to "push" the bowstring forward to let it down.

I have a feeling my switchback is gonna collect a lot of dust.

Do any of you guys shoot it @ 65% letoff rather than 80%?
You can certainly play with the stops and get them down to the 65% range, but you'll also be changing the valley as well. Personally, I shoot them closer to 80%, but I know guys that are shooting them at 65-70% and loving it.

Feel wise when messing with them in the shop I like the feel of the Elites with the big letoff, big valley and locked up feeling...On the range it's a totally different story for me. I don't shoot high letoff bows with solid limb stops worth a crap, I shoot lower letoff and cable stops a lot better because it lets me load the shot up more and pull through the shot.

Any of the Bows Designed by Kevin Strothers are going to be top notch bows. The man maybe a pain to deal with but he has done some fantastic work with designing the bows.
I shoot an Obession Addiction another bow company who has used Kevin's design. Long history and you can say that man has left his mark as a legend in the archery community.

I switched from Hoyt to Obsession because I loved the solid wall smooth draw cycle and a valley that doesnt rip your arm off at the slightest relaxation.

I have a '12 Answer. I love the bow when the let off is in the 75-80% range, but if I drop that down and move the draw stops forward toward 65%, it's too short of a valley for me and it really feels like it wants to go at any second. I keep it at 80% and it's my favorite bow I've ever owned.

I used to shoot the Elites, have owned an Answer and everything back to the Envy's.
They aren't bad but not my favorite. I really like a bow with a Yoke when it comes time to fine tuning your set up. As for the let-off I am not going to lie. The limb stop bows at 65% are going to feel horrible. Have yet to experience one that felt good in this position.

Bows are really a personal preference thing so you will have to see for yourself it it fits the bill for you.
For me I much prefer a Hybrid / Cam 1/2 system.

I shot the Elite Answer the other day @ 80% and that thing shot like a dream, I'll have to see if Scheels can adjust the letoff to 65% and let me shoot it then
