Understanding IBO

Darton calls their speed projections real world speed. So far they're very honest about what they claim from my experience. The Sequel line are very nice imo.

Seems slow my Lift X at 76-77 pounds is slinging a 535 in 290s at 29 inches that may be my chrono inflating the numbers but it sure makes me feel good lol also that’s on a last chance hand scale so could be + or - a couple pounds

Has there EVER been a bow that truly shot at its IBO speed....I doubt it? But manufacturers should be quoting attainable speeds. All marketing hype.

Speed as an easy thing to measure. That is why the marketing talks about smoothness, draw cycle and other things that cannot be measured. Do you really think it matters how a stabilizer or sight attaches to the bow? But is is new and exciting so we all fall in line and buy this years newest and greatest. In reality we really don't shoot any better with a 2025 bow or a 2015 bow. To all those people who talk about how smooth a bow is or how it holds or any number of other factors, you are why advertisers stay in business. We are consumers hypnotized by the newest shiny object.
