20 Gauge tungsten turkey load

Bryce Hensly owns both Fox Trot and Gobblernation.
Guy is a goof if you ask me. Does not want anyone helping others when buying shot for reloading. If you point someone in the direction to help them out, he jumps up and will try and shut you down. Have no time for him.

Just the opposite from Apex. Call them and they will bend over backwards trying to help you out.

You would think the fox trot was the only tungsten shot available on that GN site.

You’re not wrong. There’s a huge amount of leg humping going on over there.

I had a pretty positive experience with Apex about a month ago on an order I changed my mind about. Called them up and the lady changed my order on the computer then told me she would go to shipping and make sure the order was changed. She called back a few minutes later and said it was changed.

Never had an issue with Bryce, but I do agree it is heavily biased towards his ammo, but it is his site.

The traffic over there is quite low, but there is a solid handloading forum over there, I just got some components from a member there for the cost of shipping, saved me time money and hassle buying new.

Just received my shot from Brent, thanks for the info Fullfan!

Agree about the handloading forum on the GN lots of good info. Just one guy trying to micromanage everyone.

Good deal on receiving the shot, Brent is a good guy to deal with.

Good to hear about the Apex crew. That Company was started by several guys that were either active-duty military or Veterans. If I did not hand load, that is what I would be shooting.

Our group has had great success with the Verdict line and pretty much all of us have dropped from 12's down to 20's based on the patterns.

I'm sure the "Goof" from Gobbler Nation was here and saw that I did not like him. I have been banned from his site. Guess I hurt his feelings, and he did not like the truth. Oh well chubby, only loss is to other turkey hunters.

They also offer military and first responders discount FWIW.

I’ve thought about hand loading over the years but just have never thought I’d recoup the start up expense and ultimately not get excited about it and the equipment would just sit. Kind of like my fly tying material stash:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::cool:

I have that same stash of fly tying material.
Never tied one in my life.
I do reload however.

I guess if you don’t spring gobbler hunt much, buying a box or two would be fine every spring.

My son and both my daughters hunt. Have 2 nephews that also hunt. I load prob 10 shells for each every winter, for the up coming spring. So loading for me is way better.

As mentioned, 200-250 to buy everything. And now shot is up to 40.00 a pound. In the long run it is worth it. And I actually enjoy loading for the kids.
