2 weeks out Montana opener

We are just over two weeks out here, been seeing some good antler growth this summer. Feed is still good and have been getting a decent amount of rain.

Haven't been out for a couple of weeks but I'm guessing they're rubbing off the velvet this week, we will see what's on the cameras after that, seems like that's when I see new bulls coming in and some of the resident summer bulls disappearing.

How's everyone else's scouting been going?

Velvet has been off since last week for me. Resident bulls haven't been on the cams for 10 days.

Don't forget, cell cams are supposed to be off when hunting starts!

Scouting deer on Monday and saw 2 bulls without velvet.

Nice, going up to check the cams this weekend again. I don't have any cell cams but I usually pull mine anyway before season starts. Also, looking at the weather it seems like its trending down into the 70's moving into the first week.
