Well, I got it done in Colorado last week of September. It was the fifth day on the mountain and it had been hard hunting. Around 7 am I threw a bugle out and this bull responded. He would call back but he was moving away instead of coming in to the bugle so my buddy and I stopped bugling and hiked up to a clearing where we thought he may be. When we got close I bugled again but no response, I was starting to think the hike was for a lost cause. I ended walking to the other end of the clearing threw out a last attempt bugle and he responded not 100 yards away. I started slowly working my way towards him while bugling back and forth with him, I got to about 50 yards of him and dropped down to his level. He heard me breaking some branches and I heard him start walking towards me; he popped out of some thick timber around 20 yards from me and I drew my bow when there was a tree between us as he was walking toward me,I settled my pin on his chest and let him have it less than 10 yards away from me. I used a Mathew’s V3X 75# at 28” shooting 440 grain Victory arrows with an iron will single bevel and the arrow was lying beside the bull where he died with a blood trail Stevie Wonder could follow
