Push up on the mainspring housing while you knock it out.

A punch and a hammer. Give it a tap, it will unseat from the retaining pin in the mainspring housing and then will move pretty easily.

Youre using a punch block right? Not just tapping against your table? (I know, dumb question but gotta ask)

Punch isn’t too big for the pin?
Tapping from the dimple side?
What does the other side of the pin look like?
Have you tried putting compression on the MSH while tapping? Or tapping on the heel of the msh with your mallet before driving the pin out?

Looking from the magwell, does the bottom bend of the leaf spring protrude through the frame cut for the spring? Or is there any other reason to think the spring is putting more pressure on the msh than normal?

I’d get some penetrating oil, and soak the pin. Then really give it the beans
