38 super is a very different cartridge than 9mm, and does not have the same issue in 1911’s that 9mm has.

Yeah I just noticed Tisas has a 1911 model that's chambered to shoot both 38 super and 9mm.38 super is a very different cartridge than 9mm, and does not have the same issue in 1911’s that 9mm has.
Well, to start- why not just a G19?
@Formidilosus, on pistol drills what should a fella be trying to achieve on time to first shot? A la the bear drill or bill drill if every shot must be in the black?
This seems attainable… 2 secs is within reach. Much faster than that I’m not sure. From a draw, hands relaxed at sides- on demand every time in the black- sub 2 seconds.

I'm pretty sure that if I can do it ... you can do it.This seems attainable… 2 secs is within reach. Much faster than that I’m not sure.
Interesting. So pistols like the Tisas b9rds are using P sized grips not C sized grips due to use of standard 2011 mags?Well, the grip is substantially larger in the P (or any other true 2011 mag version) than the C. Even for competing I would rather have the C for that reason, and .4” of barrel isn’t enough difference to matter.

just to clarify, that has two different barrels, not one barrel that works for either chambering. Many of us with Supers also have another barrel in 9mm, 9x23, etc.Yeah I just noticed Tisas has a 1911 model that's chambered to shoot both 38 super and 9mm.
So if we were to focus only on scaled-down DS and SS 9mm 1911s besides the Staccato c/cs that would leave us with … the Wilson edc x9? Springfield EMP? Anything else?Correct.

Do the Glock mag DS 1911s like the platypus and HD or the 320 mag options like the OA and Sig appear to be scaled down in front to back grip girth?

Form, do you happen to know which Bul model?I would call the EDC x9 a 2011 or 1921 really.
Staccato C/CS, EMP, and Bul makes one.

Specifically - pistols scaled to 9mm mag specific grip size with 1911 or 2011 grip ergonomics and a a straight to the rear 1911 style SAO trigger. Are you asking about viable SAOs in the Commander/G19 size range?
