I just picked up a new zebralight H600W MKIII and need some advice on what batteries to get for it. Are the ones zebralight sells on their website any good? What mHa rating do I need? Usage will be weeklong backcountry hunts. For those that have used them, is two batteries enough to make it through a weeklong hunt? Do CR123's work as backup in the H600's? Thanks in advance. Oh, ya - also what charger do I want? Thanks.

The panosonic ones seem to be some of the best. They are rebranded by several companies. The Thru nite batteries are just panosonic with a different label wrapped around the battery.

Thru nite chargers work great. I did a lot of reading on some flash light forum. Man, those guys get so techy on batteries and chargers. Lots of electrical engineer guys testing and posting stuff.

Any thru nite chargers got several nods and I have been using one and no issues but I have never used another so my experience is very limited. I use the thru nite MCC 4s.

Two batteries will be plenty as long as you are not on High beam all the time.

+1 on the Panasonic's, and stay way for the cheap ultrafire's and such.

I've had good luck with the Zebra Light Battery, as well as Eagle Tac. I believe they are both Panasonics.

2 Batteries is way more than enough. I've never had to go to my extra battery.

Cant remember off hand what my charger is. I think it is a nitecore.

I have one zebralight brand and another Panasonic (can't remember the brand) and both are going strong 3+ years later. Using a cheap Xtar charger and so far so good. Last season I had one of the batteries just quit on me. I was camped at elevation and it was well below freezing. Heard something in camp so I grabbed my zebralight to check it out. When I turned it on, it lit for a second, then quit. Took that battery out and put in my spare and it worked fine. I figured the battery was toast but later the next day after it warmed up a bit I tried it in the light and it worked just fine. I don't know why, but the cold somehow affected the battery that was in the light. The spare was in my pack so I figure it was insulated enough that it wasn't affected. This was the first time I have had to use my spare battery. The battery that quit that night is still working fine.

i've had good luck with the cheap ultrafires from ebay, but the panasonics are tops.

the Xtar VC4 charger is legit, it's USB powered and works well with a 15W solar panel.
