Anyone have a different suggestion for a charger for those 18650 batteries?

My charger isn't the same model but it's the same brand, Xtar. It's been a good charger for me and I expect that one would work out well. The Xtar brand came highly recommended when I bought mine. I can't claim to know enough about the different brands/models to say exactly what you need but when I researched mine the Xtar brand was consistently recommended in several places. If you are really worried about it, you might check out a different forum like candlepower and see what they are recommending, those flashlight forum guys geek out over this stuff and wouldn't lead you astray.

Ok can’t decide between the SV2 and the VC2 both were highly rated. You had the SV2 and the VC2 is $15 cheaper.

The model I got was actually an older model, VP1. Either way, you are probably good with either model.

ND, the SV2 is the same charger I have that I bought as a bundle with batteries. I think (not sure) that the VC2 is an older model. The SV2 appears to have multiple features over the VC2, but not sure if it is worth the extra cost to you. I agree with twall13 regarding going over to candlepower forums to search old posts on this. Either way I think you should be fine.

I keep trying to find a better 18650 headlamp but I keep going back to the zebralight. For the price and quality, the 600 series is really hard to beat.

But their website sucks!

Ya their website really turned me off of them. I had no idea what I am ordering or what the difference is.

I ended up going with the XTAR SV2. Got it for $26 shipped off Illumn.com.

I liked it came with both a car charger and wall charger. Also like that it had a simple LCD display as well as 4 charging speeds.

FYI (for anyone still looking) I just picked up a Fenix HL60R for $56.24 shipped off Academy Sports and Outdoors (online). I planned on getting a zebra, but didn't want to wait a month and $56 seemed like a pretty good deal to me.
