Have killed goat. Sheep. 3 deer with 143 all with same perfect result. 3” exit. Lots of blood. All inside 300 yds. All below 2800fps impact.

Had bad experience with 162(7mm) at 3200fps. It blew up. Same bullet at 2600 performed perfect. They are too thin to impact fast is my 2 cents. Keep them slow and they are great. Haven’t struck big bone fwiw.

I like them, as does my rifle (here verifying 100-yd zero after plane flight)

Used it this year and recovered it out of my buck. Hit at a quartering away shot at no more than 80 yards. Shot out of a 6.5 PRC, only went about 40 yards.

Personally I've had great results with them. They group very well out of my Tikka and they dropped a bear in its tracks at 128 yds and a frontal on a mule deer at sub 100 yards.

I've only had the gun for a year and one-half, but with the different ammo I've ran through it, nothing compares to the accuracy of the ELD-X.

They were super accurate in my creedmoor but were underwhelming on the two deer I shot with them. Both deer died but neither had an exit and both bullets separated. Each animal went about 75 yards with no blood trail. My muzzle velocity was 2800….

Not so good on elk shoulders from what I've seen, total fragmentation in the first 2-3" of the scapula

How thick is an elk scapula? I would think it would need to be a pretty big elk to have a scapula 2" thick, let alone 3" thick?

Had good success with two caribou and one moose. Just wish they would show back up on the shelf.

My experience with hunting is limited but I shot my first deer this November in Alaska at about 30 yards and he went about 8 feet and done with no drama at all. I had about a 1 inch exit the internals were mush. I know they changed the construction of the bullet a few years ago based on feedback and Doppler testing. I also took factory loaded 143 ELD-X to the Fierce long range school this summer and the factory ammo did just as well as all the custom loaded stuff other students brought along. It's all I am going to shoot for the foreseeable future.

I've been extremely pleased with them on antelope. The explosive nature seems to induce a lot of shock and none of the 4 I've shot with the x went very far. Similar results on a small muley and cow elk, although I'm planning something with a bit more penetration for elk hunts going forward.

My experience with them on 5 antelope has been fantastic. Super accurate and quick killers.
