Damn y’all have some fast rifles. My fastest 130 grain Creedmoor load only goes 2892. It takes 44 grains of H4350 and a 24” Krieger to get there.

20" C6 with Scythe. Lapua brass 130tmk's 42.5gr H4350 Gm210. averaged 2912 fps thru 10 shots this am. 6.5 creedmoor. No pressure signs

Garmin chrono
I find this very interesting. I wonder if other guys with C6 barrels can chime in if they have seen some extra unexpected speed with theirs too. That’s a good 100fps faster than I would expect it to produce.

I first started with a quick pressure test to see where my gun's point was. Knowing that I am going to use H4350, i loaded up 15 rounds at max mag length with the Tmks. I started at 40 grains then went .3 grains higher until I reached 43 at which point I went down to .1 higher. I made it to 43.4 grains and still don't have much pressure signs. Primers are a little flat, but no ejector marks.

I then went online and found lots of guys finding the sweet spot around 42-43 grains of H4350, so i loaded up 10 of each @ 42.5 grains and shot them all at 100 yards. All 3 loads grouped good with the VLD's grouping the best at .81" 10 shot group followed by eld-m @ 1.0" and the tmk's @ 1.2". None of these rounds showed any pressure signs.

Speeds were:
Vld's@ 2911fps, ES of 20 fps
Eldm@ 2901 fps ES of 54 fps
TMks @ 2912 fps. ES of 81 fps

The rifle only has 62 rounds thru it so far but I am leaning toward the VLD's. I currently loaded up 30 Vld and 20 more ELD-m's that I'll try and shoot next week at 200 yards. After that, I'll likely choose between the 2 and start validating bullet drop at longer range.

Garmin vs dropped checked dope on my 22CM was 100fps different last week.. Highly likely I was doing something wrong though.

Some data points from my 6.5 CM shorty. Rifle is a bighorn origin, PBB 18", Tbac Ultra 7, with Hawkins Hunter DBM that allows for 2.880" mag length. All loads loaded to that COAL. Velocities measured with Magnetospeed. YMMV on loads and pressure. I will say, this particular barrel has always given good MVs.

130 TMK, Lapua SRP, CCI BR4, RL-17:

43.3 - 2769
43.6 - 2830
43.9 - 2859 (most accurate)
44.2 - 2888
44.5 - 2898 (no pressure signs at 75F)

130 TMK, Lapua SRP, CCI BR4, H4350 (pressure ladder only, no accuracy tests yet)

42.4 - 2657
42.6 - didn't read
42.8 - didn't read
43.0 - 2704
43.2 - 2730
43.4 - 2738
43.6 - 2759
43.8 - 2773
44.0 - 2810
44.2 - 2817 (no pressure signs at 52F)

For comparison, my normal hunting loads are:

H4350, 43.2 gr, 140 BT @ 2660
H4350, 43.2 gr, 139 Scenar @ 2700
RL-26, 46.8 gr, 147 ELDm @ 2675

Update, I went out yesterday after attempting to bowhunt MD here. Too damn warm and 0 rut, so I decided to spend the midday shooting. Nothing worse than glassing up 7 different herds of does and not a buck with any of them. 60* at 9am will do that. Hopefully next weekend the rut finally starts.

I shot 30 Berger 130 Hunting VLD's into 3 10 shot groups. Average of each group shrunk down to .75"ish give or take. Average Velocity over the 30 shots was 2902 fps with an ES of 19, 22 and 18 FPS per 10 shot string.

I also shot 10 Hornady 130 Eld-m which grouped 1.2". Average speed was 2905 FPS with an ES of 41 FPS

Lastly I shot 10 Sierra TMK's 130gr which averaged 1.2" with an average speed of 2910 fps with an ES of 64.

All loaded into new Lapua LRP brass with Federal 210 primers and 42.5 gr of H4350. No case showed any pressure signs. My typical new lapua brass prep is to simply run a mandrel thru them and then load em.' Garmin chrono, shooting off of Gunwerks 2.0 bipod with rear bag.

I like all 3 bullets, but am going to continue forward with the Berger VLD's. Looking at quick #'s, it appears I should be above 1800 FPS out to 700 yards. Very little recoil with the Scythe on it. My 6 year old actually wanted to try it and his first shot was in the 9 ring at 100 yards. Not sure on accuracy of his statement, but he claimed the 6.5 with a can on it kicked less than the shorty AR in 5.56 without a can. I think he was just jacked to shoot my "big gun"
