12” Grendel bullet

I can’t take credit for the big buck. Land owner is 92 years young and only hunts one or two days a season. He sat with me and used my 12” Grendel.
70 yards from box stand spot. He made perfect shot high in shoulder. Was like a 12 year old when it dropped.

I have stacked probably a dozen whitetails and many dozens of hogs with a 12.5” Grendel and 123gr SST. It would still be my do-it-all rifle except for the Grendel feed issues when suppressed.

Poor blood trails, but animals are dead in 0-20 yards. It liquifies the lungs.

I've eaten a lot of venison courtesy a 20” Grendel. It works very well. If you're having problems, and are using Hornady ammo, that's Hornady inconsistency rather than the cartridge. The Grendel is excellent when used appropriately.

12” is more focused on fashion and tasks other than deer. You're limiting yourself to shot placement that works with practically anything. It's not really a bullet issue. Seems like extra effort to avoid 300BO, but it's neither my circus nor my monkey.
