106 TAP for hunting?

It just self populated with the code for me on my first 1k order. After these guys worked me up into another 1k order last night it didn't show up again. Still less than $0.20/bullet with tax and shipping.
When I first logged into my account a free ship code flashed up then disappeared, subtract another 15 boxes from Midway stock.

Applied ballistics says 0.281 G7. They have 0.280 on the 109 and 0.261 on the 108.
I've shot the 109eldm to 1200y in a 7.5tw 6gt at 2830 and 2910 mv, 285g7 waterlined for me in summer 4500da. It's a bit better than AB states. These 106s I'd think are a tad bit lower. The 106 atips that Powder Valley had last year were around 283g7 for drops to line up at 900y in a 7.25tw 6br at 2800fps. Hornady 4dof has all of these bullets in its library.

they are down to 486 boxes. 110 boxes sold just this morning.
at this rate i dont think i will be able to test before i buy more.
oh well, worst case i can sell them on here and get my money back.

Makes a guy wonder.. how on earth do they end up with likely over 100k SECONDS? Why would they have that many off color tips for them?

I bet they are not seconds, and just an overrun of a non commercially available bullets

16 a box for decent 6mm bullets…. I wish I could justify more, but I’m a Berger fan for target guns.

Surprised midway has them so cheap, usually their seconds are the price of firsts everywhere else.

106tap 20" 6 dasher brux 1:8 31.5g varget average mv2720, 108-109 bergers are 2780-2790fps at same charge weight. Accuracy was not great for this rifle. Maybe you guys with faster twist will have better results.

4 of the "wild" bullets had ejector swipe at what I consider mild'ish charge weight.

This is used gel I was going to toss.

Reduced load, impact @1900fps
Permanent damage pretty minimal nearly pencil through, similar to 103eldx at the same velocity

Impact @2550fps

I would consider these as eldx bullets in an atip shape. Geussing they will need 21000fps to reliably expand.

midway has sat on these for a long time.
i posted on accurate shooter asking about these back in 2019!
these have been priced at $37.99 blems since then.
i assume they want these off the shelf.
at $16 a box, ill chance it.

thanks eoperator,
looks like i will start with my 27" dasher 1:7.5 twist. 1:8 might be border line
I will do work up loads, see what their potential is.
