What are the weirdest ways y’all have damaged your tent?

I rolled up a pine borer beetle in my Cimarron. That was a fun six holes to patch the next time I opened it up!

sore subject this month! I borrowed a 4-person Helleburg for a family trip in NW AK a couple weeks ago. My son (7 y/o) was inside the tent calling our Corgi puppy to join him inside...but the mozzy net was zipped closed and Titus scratch 5 big holes in that sucker trying to get in before I caught up. I'm the friend who would never return something in worse condition than borrowed, so that was a $1700 scratch and sniff session for my crew.

don't get me started on 100% deet. The tent, sunglasses, raft surfaces, drybags...can't believe we still put that shit on our skin.

Hasn't happened to me but people have been hunting the tops for tahr or chamois in NZ and come back to a tent ruined by Kea's, the alpine parrot there. They chew shit out of everything.
Man, they look like they’d be hard on gear!

Wild or feral?
No idea what that distinction would be. The horses have been out there running free in that area for as long as I can remember same for the burros.

These guys have found a state park to hide in so they’ve multiplied like crazy over the years.

set up redcliff at home to make sure it was good and dry after a trip. Came back out an hour later to find 3 kittens running up to the peak having a ball. Hundreds of claw holes on every panel. I seam sealed and still use it but I wanted to throw up at the time.
