Oofta! Good to be that kind of friend thoughsore subject this month! I borrowed a 4-person Helleburg for a family trip in NW AK a couple weeks ago. My son (7 y/o) was inside the tent calling our Corgi puppy to join him inside...but the mozzy net was zipped closed and Titus scratch 5 big holes in that sucker trying to get in before I caught up. I'm the friend who would never return something in worse condition than borrowed, so that was a $1700 scratch and sniff session for my crew.
Safer for dogs tooI started using Picarin (sp?),, seems to keep them off just fine and safe for gear.
Cows ate mine , heck horses and cattle are a pia chewing on stuff, pack rats and mice are next in-lineWild horses chewed and stomped it.
Related side story. Woke up once to a wild burro licking back window of camper shell. WTF???

Man, they look like they’d be hard on gear!Hasn't happened to me but people have been hunting the tops for tahr or chamois in NZ and come back to a tent ruined by Kea's, the alpine parrot there. They chew shit out of everything.
Semantics, really. I get kinda salty about themNo idea what that distinction would be. The horses have been out there running free in that area for as long as I can remember same for the burros.
These guys have found a state park to hide in so they’ve multiplied like crazy over the years.
