1000-1200

Maven B2 11x45. I run mine off a tripod but can also freehand them pretty well. Incredible glass for the price

I am interested in this too. I don't feel the 11's are an option though. They are a compromise between the 2. I have 10's so the jump to 12's is a deliberate attempt to make a jump up. The 11's just aren't that jump.

No such thing in 12x at that price.

I would buy a good 10x42 or save up for a high grade 12x50 if you must have a 12x50.

There's a real lack of 12x50 options in that price range. The Meopta Meostar HDs are nice glass but they're quite heavy and I don't like the ergonomics at all. I wouldn't personally choose them as an all around option but others might disagree. If you're looking for tripod only use then I would buy those. Then you've got the Vortex Razor HDs which I think are a pretty decent option. Razors aren't the best glass in the world but they're super light and handy for their class, and the ergonomics of them are very nice IMO.

Those are pretty much your options. Leica, Zeiss, and Nikon unfortunately don't make 12x50s in their $1000ish glass. Hopefully that changes sooner rather than later.

An excellent glass. Way better than folks expect. A top tier for sure

Doug,

Do you have any sale numbers or anything you could share with us about how GPO is doing as a company? I think many people are hesitant to buy glass from newer companies if they aren't confident that company will be around in 5 years.

I totally get that. GPO is a well funded start up by Mike Jensen, the former president of Zeiss USA, along with a couple of ex-Swarovski executives. They seem to be going about things in the right way with only a couple of dozen offerings at the moment, rather than try to have a full slew of product out of the gate. We have been working with them since they came onto the scene and have been very pleased with their product quality as far as workmanship as well, obviously, optical quality.
I believe they are here for the long haul, however, the only honest answer is only time will tell.

We have sold a good quantity of their binoculars and entry level riflescopes as well as a handful of their higher line riflescopes. The feedback has been very positive.
