I am not, but feel free. Are we putting our targets horizontal this month?
I shot them all cold/unpracticed and was hustling to make time, you were less generous than me. If you guys whip me terribly this month I might have to start dry running things. If you are timing out or finding yourself frustrated, this is normal. Shoot it and be honest. Learn what to work on. If any tips or questions arise, ask away.
I did the same.I shot them all cold/unpracticed and was hustling to make time, you were less generous than me. If you guys whip me terribly this month I might have to start dry running things.

I was going more for speed than hits
Might shoot it again this week just to see if I can do better. I'm assuming we are only counting the first posted run tho
One thing I miss about my old property is the 1,000 yard range from my elevated front porch. I built the house and porch on the proper angle to accommodate the shooting.I gotta stop looking at @Nine Banger shooting pics. I am immediately filled with jealousy that you are shooting from your porch. That heat index looks![]()
I tried out a new “hot weather shirt” from a company that SUCKED at wicking sweat out and letting the breeze in. Felt like shooting in a soft, comfy tarp.
@Nine Banger I assume you don’t want that shirt back? Haha. I only sweat out around 2 gallons of water and iced tea combined into it.
Let's split the shipping and send the shirt back to China.
Ouch.It was the opener for white-tailed season here yesterday and last night at dusk my kestrel says it was still 90.7F and 81% humidity...
Thank you.Nice shooting.
Pack off, left hand balances pack, right hand brings forend of rifle to pack as I sit down and square up to target. Gather sight picture. Then… Rifle in right hand, stand up, left hand grabs top of pack grab loop and moved left to right 10 feet. If more time, you can throw the pack back on loosely or sling it over one shoulder. If moving a short distance just hand carry it. Then… Same as before, only this time chamber the round, safety on, safety off. Shoot. Second shot rack and shoot no safety. Time. What was your shot process for "O"?

The overall position I use is similar to seated unsupported, but instead of left elbow in left thigh/inner knee and offhand pinching the buttstock, the off hand moves up to top of the pack along with the foreend, hand pinching between front of foreend and pack. Right elbow in right thigh/inner knee. If you have more time, stuffing a lightweight rear bag between your elbow and knee can stabilize it better particular on steep down hill and uphill shots (less hip flex/stretch to get proper height).
