Built out my old 10/22. I'd bought some after market trigger about 10 years ago and not even sure what it is. It breaks clean but it's heavier than I'd like.

Looking at getting either a Jard or a Kidd in the 1.5lb range.

Also has anyone noticed any accuracy improvements by swapping to an aftermarket bolt? Haha at this point I should just buy a precision receiver too I've watched some YouTube and some guys say it helps. But they're usually using small sample data to validate their results and bias.

Any input? It's not really a precision build per se because it's more of a light weight rig. But I'll definitely be using it as a trainer until I can build a CZ or Bergara.

After the cost of this project I could have easily bought a CZ heavy varmint and saved money. But I hate having guns I don't use. The old standard 10/22 carbine is just blah.

Found an Athlon Ares BTR Gen 2 for about $400 off for it. Went 2.5-15x. So I can shoot rabbits at 10 yards and still zoom in for gophers or steel at long range. Pains me to buy a China scope but the reviews seemed good and so was the price. Still $500 on sale.

Haha yeah my bench is a disaster

That’s a sweet little rig. I can’t provide much help other than to say I’d like one like that myself. I just got a t1x recently and I’m having a blast practicing with it. I can definitely see the benefits of not running a bolt every shot

Those tikkas are slick!

There's a lot of times I'll be deer or elk hunting and some delicious small critter will present itself by the truck.
Ha before I shot my buck last year my buddy and I wacked a dozen cotton tails Like being a little kid again! Kind of sucked getting back late and having to clean all of them but dang they're delicious!!!
