Been stinking busy, but thought I would post up some results. It was a 1.4 mile swim (42:12) 57 mile bike (2 hrs 56 minutes) and a 13.18 mile run (2 hrs 2 mins). The swim felt good, but it was in some rough water, up to 14" waves.....doesn't sound like much until you are getting pushed around by them
. The bike was awesome, I felt strong and trained within my zone, keeping my heart rate around the 158 range. ( I max out at 181) The run.....the godawful run
. I used to be a runner, now I run because I have to. Prior to this race I hadn't run longer then 7 miles in over 3 years, I knew it was going to be tough. I hit the wall pretty hard at mile 7, and from there it was just survival. My time was under 6 hours, so it was ok. I made the goals I set. Now I am training for a full IronMan in 2014. If I remember I will post some pics tonight.
