    I would buy a pair of Swaro NL 8x32 and nothing else. Those will glass better than most 10s. I dont feel that a spotter is needed for most western hunting unless you are hunting limited tags and searching for a specific animal. A good pair of 10x would be a good choice if you were mainly hunting...

    I’m 5-10, 160. Medium is a good fit, a bit loose for me in the midsection but Im pretty skinny. would probably be good for layering.

    I plan to drive my 11 Tacoma as long as I can. Anytime I drive I’m thankful I have a capable vehicle that’s paid for and does everything I need. I stay on top of maintenance, including transmission fluid.

    Insightful! Question still stands, but answer from Mexican government on a requirement why OTM bullets are classified as "hollow tips", which are functionally nearly opposite, unlikely.

    Im running an 18inch 6.5-285 with a 156 berger and just barely getting over 2500fps at a max load. Sounds pretty wimpy, but thats still 700+ yards range at 1800fps limit. So I agree you would need to go up to a long action, drop bullet weight, or drop caliber to meet your 2950 fps criteria.
